Q: Hey, Jen ... I've downloaded your yoga anatomy handouts and taken your Anatomy Essentials & Optimize Your Breathing courses. I'm ready for more! Should I take a college level anatomy and physiology course? I really want to apply what I learn to my yoga practice and teaching.
A: To all my fellow anatomy lovers, here are my recommendations for ongoing study.
I'm a huge fan of Crash Course. They offer a free A&P class with a TON of information.
For more yoga-oriented content, I love Ann Swanson's book The Science of Yoga.
Yoga Anatomy Programs
If your main goal is to apply it to teaching, I'd recommend one of the yoga programs, but the Crash Course A&P is a wonderful way to see what you'd cover in a college A&P course, and also have that background going into a yoga-focused anatomy course.
Hope this helps!
